Refunds will not be issued for any purchase through Fictitious Bookshelf. In lieu of refunds, we will allow exchanges. Only books are eligible for exchanges, we do not accept request for other items such as bookmarks, annotation kits, games, etc. sold by Fictitious Bookshelf.
For all online and pop-up purchase:
Exchanges or store credit will be given to customer with proof of purchase and product is in like new and salable condition within 10 days of purchase date. Book must be shipped back to store at the customers expense, once received the exchange or store credit will be processed.
Exchange Form:
Submit an Exchange Form. The Exchange Form will ask a series of questions to help determine the best alternative for you whether it’s a simple exchange or store credit. Note, the form will ask for pictures or a video of the books current condition prior to the exchange.
Once submitted you will receive an email from info@fictitiousbookshelf.com to confirmed if you are eligible for an exchange or store credit.
If you are eligible, you will have two options on how to return the product:
- Online return process: If the book is returned and not in a resalable condition we will be unable to process a full exchange/credit. Once received we will contact you via email for next steps in the process.
- In-Person return process: We do accept same day returns at the in-person event as long as the book is in live new condition. If you are requesting after an event, you can submit an Exchange Form within 10 days of the initial purchase.
Store Credit:
Fictitious Bookshelf store credit does not expire and can be used on any purchase from Fictitious Bookshelf and/or Book Connect events. Store credit will be valued at the price of purchase and can be used for discounted items.
